Who We Are

Owner, Michael Connelly, boasts an impressive resume with more than a decade of experience in the field. He’s worked on a range of projects including rural and urban boundary work, identification and detail surveying, subdivision and easements, new builds and land developments; as well as bulk earthworks and stockpile surveys.

Due to Michael’s experience, and our access to the latest surveying technology, we create accurate and workable plans which account for the specific requirements of each and every job. We use robotic total stations which provide accurate readings down to the millimetre for smaller jobs. For larger-scale work, we use multi-constellation GNSS setups, giving results with sub-centimetre precision. This way, we can cover large areas without compromising on the quality or accuracy of our readings.

Through always working directly with the client and tailoring each service to meet your unique specifications, Michael sets Western Survey apart from our competitors. Our main focus is to provide time efficient, high-quality services that are reasonably priced. Find out more; speak with our team today!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When and why do I need a re-survey?

From the smallest builds such as fences or gates, to larger developments, it’s important to re-survey and re-establish your property lines. Not only will this protect you from legal battles with neighbouring property owners, but will also keep you informed on the value of the area that you own. This facet of surveying is common when buying a new home.

  • Can I survey a property myself?

Professional, licensed surveyors use state-of-the-art GPS equipment. Whereas your regular run of the mill GPS devices have an accuracy level of around 15 to 20 feet, our GPS systems will provide accuracy up to the closest centimetre or millimetre. We use the latest equipment, investing thousands into giving you the very best results.
